Today Late Summer Beauties Matt Cooper Hamilton, ON Today 67 The Devil's Trumpet, pink and red Rose Mallows, and Cosmos offer my perennial garden continuing color late in the gardening season just as the Black Eyed Susans begin to drop their petals after a long and beautiful display this year. September 1, 2015 My Cactus Buddy 2 Matt Cooper Hamilton, ON September 1, 2015 456 Without me disturbing the web, this funnel-web spider came out of its burrow when it saw me looking down the tube today. I have fed the little critter two flies thus far and I'm beginning to wonder if this spider now sees me as the ice cream truck and comes out of its house for a treat. =D As thanks for the greeting, I then caught my bud another fly which was readily accepted. 'How To Train Your Spider' should be the caption of this pic I'm thinkin'! Cheers everyone! :^) 0 1-1

Now that the youngsters are almost fully grown, the entire family is very calm and friendly when approached carefully, looking for handouts more than anything. They didn't care for the banana I offered them. The sounds they make as they communicate are very sweet. Cheers everyone! :^) 0 1-1
